Jamie certainly doesn’t disappoint when it comes to choice as his menu is packed with a huge variety of dishes. The antipasti selection alone has a whopping selection of meats, cheeses, vegetables, olives, pickles, salads, baked mushrooms, squid and even fried three-cheese gnocchi that can be served on plates or more rustic planks. These are perfect for sharing while drinking a chilled glass of prosecco! Italian restaurants in Leeds usually include a good range of pasta dishes and Jamie’s is no exception. Of course there the traditional dishes of tagliatelle with a hearty bolognaise sauce, or prawn linguine with juicy, garlicky prawns, shaved fennel, tomatoes, chilli and rocket. What is so great about Jamie’s Italian Restaurant is that there are slightly more unusual dishes on offer as well. The wild rabbit tagliolini is hugely popular and comes with a slow-cooked ragu with garlic, herbs, mascarpone and lemon.

Ravioli and risotto dishes are also featured and for those who may want a little taste of everything Jamie’s has prepared a special ‘Proper Italian Feast’ for only £15.00 per person. It comes with a selection of antipasti, freshly baked focaccia, risotto primavera, roasted Norfolk chicken with herbs, potatoes, olives, garlic, sweet cherry tomatoes and salsa verde as well as a serving of spaghetti all Norma and polenta chips. It really gives diners a sense of the many beautiful flavours and textures in authentic Italian cooking. It should be noted, however that due to the importance placed on creating and maintaining a relaxed environment, diners are served on a first come, first served basis and no booking are taken.
