Just a mere 15-minute drive from the hustle and bustle of the city centre is Leeds Seventeen Restaurant in Leeds. Here, in this casual, yet sophisticated family-run restaurant, diners are treated to a real taste of Yorkshire. With over 30 years experience Head Chef Wayne Brimicombe has created an exquisite menu that is playful while still maintaining an allegiance to traditional British cuisine. There is a real focus here on family and community connections, and as such Leeds Seventeen is the perfect place to host that special party or celebration. The delightful and friendly staff will go out of their way to ensure you and your guests have a memorable time.

There is a selection of menus to choose form including a lunch menu, which, weather permitting, can be enjoyed on the terrace. A 2 or 3 course early bird deal offered Monday through to Friday between 5pm-7pm is a great bargain. During the festive season specially created Christmas menus, including Christmas Day lunch and New Years Eve give you another reason to celebrate with exceptional food! British restaurants in Leeds have a wealth of wonderful produce on their doorstep, and it’s great to see Leeds Seventeen making the most of it. Starters on the a la carte menu can include wild mushroom pancake gateau with truffled mushrooms and tarragon, or the pan fried pigeon breast with roasted beetroot and seared orange salad.

The mains are sumptuous offerings like the beautifully rich Guinea fowl breast with black pudding and apple boudin, buttered leeks, wild mushrooms and tarragon jus, or the decadent crispy belly pork, pancetta and Colcannon mash with glazed carrots and red wine jus. For those wanting a little bit more on the side choices include, Jersey royals with lemon and mint butter, broccoli hollandaise creamed mash or hand cut chips with Maldon sea salt. Looking at restaurants in Leeds some diners may be tempted to see what’s on the dessert menu. At Leeds Seventeen the sweet offerings are fun, cheeky and the perfect way to end your meal! The signature dish is the Leeds 17 treacle sponge with crème anglaise and the humorous Horlicks crème brulee with chocolate chip cookies sounds delightfully unusual. Apple lovers will adore the Granny Smith apple plate, featuring an apple smoothie, apple cheesecake and homemade Granny Smith sorbet.
