Review of Miah's Kitchen in Leeds

Miah's Kitchen Restaurant in Leeds

Despite fairly new beginnings Miah’s Restaurant has already made a huge impact on Leeds’ vibrant culinary scene. Specializing in Indian food and more specifically Bangladeshi cuisine, Miah’s Restaurant in Leeds is sure to tantalize and delight your taste buds. A mere 3-minute walk from Leeds train station, this restaurant is right in the heart of the city centre. Walking through the door you are immediately welcomed by friendly staff. The décor is subdued and refined with neutral tones enhanced by deep, rich browns.

The menu is extensive with an intriguing range of starters. The Fish Bhaji is perhaps one of the more unusual dishes on the menu. Tender pieces of Bangladeshi fish marinated in Miah’s special marinade and cooked with olive oil with fresh garlic it is mouthwateringly good. If you are looking for a top-notch Indian restaurant in Leeds then Miah’s Kitchen is the place to go!  There is a wide range of traditional dishes such as smooth, slightly sweet and creamy Korma as well as the more spicy Madras. You can also choose from Miah’s Specials where the Tikka Lembu is made from fresh, imported Bangladeshi lemons, giving the dish a fresh, highly aromatic quality. Of course all main dishes are available with the option of lamb, chicken, prawn, fish or mixed vegetables. As you can expect with such a high quality restaurant all dishes are made to order so you control how much heat you want.

Miah’s Restaurant offers the perfect setting for a relaxed meal out. Open for lunch Monday-Saturday (12pm-2pm) and in the evenings from 5:30pm seven days a week you can be sure the welcoming environment, high quality cooking, delicious fresh ingredients and magical blend of spices will thrill all your senses. If you’re not too full afterwards there are many desserts that will put the finishing touch on a great meal out. Why not try the Rasmalai, a traditional Bangladeshi dessert made with curd bathed in sugared milk flavoured with pistachios and served with ice cream. Of course no Indian meal would be complete without Gulab Jamun, fried dough balls soaked in sugar syrup that are as light as a feather. When it comes to restaurants in Leeds, Miah’s Kitchen is certainly one to watch!
